Come On A Journey

As a pediatric dentist and orthodontist with two practices, I absolutely love staying busy helping patients of all ages improve their smiles and quality of life. And, just like everyone else, I do enjoy my holidays!

Want to know what I get up to when I’m not fixing and improving smiles? Keep reading to find out about my “chill time.”

Spending time with family and friends is at top of my priority list.

We enjoy travelling together and have many places checked off our bucket list! Tropical destinations are our favorite … for me, it’s all about strolling pristine sandy beaches, boat rides, going for a dip in the clear blue ocean water, and hanging with the dolphins! They’re cute, intelligent, cuddly … and photogenic! What’s not to adore? Fact: Did you know there are 36 different species of dolphin?

Countries we want to explore? There are tons, but Spain, Italy, New Zealand, and Australia top the list.

As I’m sure you’ve figured out, maintaining a healthy smile is very important to me. It’s what I do for others, but I make sure to do for myself too. As a breast cancer survivor, I also like to keep my physical and mental well-being in check.

The way I like to stay in shape might be considered a bit unconventional in today’s day and age … but I’m going to come right out and say it. I rock out to retro step aerobics videos … in bright colorful Bird T-shirts! You can say I’m stuck in the ’80s, but all that matters is that I’m feelin’ the burn. I recommend “Bodies in Motion” DVDs and “Step” to anyone that wants a funky flashback with a great laugh! Do what makes your heart sing!

I can’t forget college sports! After a calorie-burning workout, I just might want to get into my sweats and throw on the tube for some athletic action. As a student, you could say I got a healthy dose of it. It’s been in my blood since! Two thumbs up for the Tarheels and Buckeyes!

And sometimes, I like to enjoy a variety of culinary experiences. A few of my go-to, “to die for” spots are Kabob Je for cauliflower, Viva Chicken for quinoa-stuffed avocado, and Blue Taj for Indian chana masala. And now I’m working up an appetite …

What do you like to do for fun? Please share your travel stories with me during your next visit!
